June 18 (Tue) 
Day One
Honolulu to Osaka

An afternoon flight will take us to Osaka.

June 19 (Wed) Day Two

We arrive in the evening and after clearing immigration and customs formalities we will head to the hotel.

June 20 (Thu) Day Three
Universal Studios Japan

On our first day we will head to Universal Studios Japan.  Here we will explore the worlds of Harry Potter, Jaws, Jurassic Park, and more.  For the younger set, there is also an area to meet Snoopy and friends, the Sesame Street Gang, and Hello Kitty.

June 21 (Fri)
Day Four

In the morning we will head to the Osaka Kaiyukan Aquarium.  One of the world’s largest public aquariums, it is home to thousands of sea creatures from over four hundred species.  They are divided into sixteen areas from around the world with their main tank being home to a whale shark.

From there we will visit Osaka Castle.  This recreated castle was once home to Toyotomi Hideyoshi, one of the three warlords who united Japan during the Warring States Period of Japan.  He was a commoner who rose to become of the most powerful men in Japan.  Today the castle tells his dramatic story and offers a nice view of the city that surrounds the castle.

Our last stop of the day will be to the Osaka Museum of History.  Here you can learn about the city's origin from the fifth century straight through to the modern day. 

June 22 (Sat) Day Five
Osaka to Nagoya

We leave Osaka today and hop aboard the famous bullet train for Nagoya, Japan’s fourth largest city.  It is where several famous companies are based, the most famous of which is Toyota.  We will visit one of the Toyota Techno Museum where we will learn about their humble beginnings making looms and sewing machines to their modern day place as one of the world’s leading auto makers.  Here we can see a wide variety of models as well as how cars work.

From there we will visit the SCMAGLEV and Railway Park.  This is a museum dedicated to trains used by JR Central, the Japan Railways Group member that runs the most famous bullet trains in the Japan.  JR Central is currently developing the next generation bullet train and one of the prototypes is on display along with over thirty retired trains.

June 23 (Sun)
Day Six
Legoland Japan

Today we will visit Legoland Japan, the largest of its type in Japan.  Here you can find a wide variety of Lego attractions and unique to Japan is an impressive collection of Lego recreations of famous Japanese landmarks. 

June 24 (Mon)
Day Seven
Nagoya to Tokyo

We continue our journey by hopping back onto the bullet train to take us to Japan’s capital, Tokyo.  We finish out our tour of Japan with a stay in one of the world’s most populous metropolitan areas.  We will have a chance to get a taste of this busy city.

Once we arrive we will go to Ameyokocho.  Here we can find a wide variety of omiyage from dried seafood to Japanese cookies and confections.

June 25 (Tue) Day Eight Tokyo Disneyland

Today you will visit Tokyo Disneyland.  You will have a chance to ride on familiar favorites like It’s a Small World, Jungle Boat Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Haunted House.  We will have a chance to enjoy Disney with a Japanese twist like its fun character popcorn buckets with the unusual popcorn flavors like shoyu, melon, and more.

June 26 (Wed) Day Nine Tokyo Disney Sea

We will spend the day at Tokyo Disney Sea.  This is Tokyo Disneyland’s sister park and instead of different lands to visit, it gives us seven ports of call.  Explore the Mediterranean Harbor, the Mysterious Island, the Mermaid Lagoon, the Arabian Coast, Lost River Delta, Port Discovery, and an American Waterfront.  Each port offers rides and shows for you to explore based on their specific themes. 

June 27 (Thu)
Day Ten
Tokyo to Honolulu

On our last day we will head to one of Tokyo’s iconic districts, Asakusa.  Here we will find one of Tokyo’s most famous landmarks, the giant red lantern of Kaminarimon.  Here we can see Tokyo’s oldest temple, along with the wide array of souvenirs from fresh senbei to folding fans. 

From there we will head to Tokyo’s Electric Town, Akihabara.  Here you can find the latest in electronics, as well as Japanese Animation products.

Our last stop will be the tallest structure in Japan, the Tokyo SkyTree.  Completed in 2011, the Tokyo SkyTree was built to replace the Tokyo Tower as the main television and radio antenna for the Tokyo area.  Here we will get a nice view of the surrounding area, as well a chance to pick up souvenirs at the shops found at its base.

From there we will head to the airport to catch our flight back to Hawaii.
