June 17 (Sun)
Day One
Honolulu to Tokyo

Our tour leaves Honolulu in the late afternoon to Tokyo.

June 18 (Mon) Day Two
Tokyo

Due to the international date line, we will arrive in Tokyo on the evening of the following day and after clearing customs we will check into the Shiba Park Hotel

June 19 (Tue) Day Three
Funabashi/Asakusabashi/Akihabara

Our first stop will be at Funabashi to visit Tokyo's largest 100 yen store.  This seven story store has over 60,000 square feet of retail space.  From there we will visit Asakusabashi, a whole sale area where we can shop for various handcraft supplies like sumie paint, Heiko brand products, beads, paper goods, stationary, wrapping paper and more.  We end the day with a stop at Akihabara, Tokyo's electric town.  Here you can find the latest in electronics as well as a wide variety of Japanese Animation paraphernalia.

June 20 (Wed)
Day Four
Ueno / Ameyokocho

Panda at Ueno Zoo

Japan’s oldest and largest zoo is the Ueno Zoo in Tokyo.  It is so large that they have a small monorail connecting the two far ends of the zoo with each other.  Its most famous inhabitants are a pair of pandas on loan from China.  We will spend the morning here before walking over to Ameyokocho.  Here we can find a wide variety of omiyage from dried seafood to Japanese cookies and confections.

June 21 (Thu) Day Five
Asakusa / Kappabashi / Tokyo Skytree

Kaminarimon at Asakusa

Today we will go to one of Japan’s most popular tourist areas, Asakusa.  Its most iconic image is the giant red lantern that hangs at the front of Tokyo’s oldest temple.  What draws us here is Nakamise Dori, a shopping area that holds small knick knacks that are used in handcrafts.  From there we will walk to Kappabashi Dogugai an area that wholesales kitchen supplies, everything from plastic food to the kitchen sink.  We will also stop at Japan’s tallest structure, the Tokyo Skytree.  Completed in 2011, the Tokyo SkyTree was built to replace the Tokyo Tower as the main television and radio antenna for the Tokyo area.  Here we will get a nice view of the surrounding area, as well a chance to pick up souvenirs at the shops found at its base.

June 22 (Fri)
Day Six
Kamata / Nippori

In the morning we will head to Kamata City, which has specialty handcraft stores.  There is Yuzawaya, a crafter’s dream store, with three buildings in the area.  Everything from beads and cords to fabric and stationary can be found in this area.  We will then head to Nippori, which is a fabric specialty area.  For those not interested in fabric, they can also visit nearby Yanaka Ginza, an old shopping district which still holds its charms to this day.

June 23 (Sat)
Day Seven
Puroland

Puroland

Today we will be checking out of the hotel and moving closer to Tokyo Disney.  The day will be spent at the home of Hello Kitty.  Puroland is an amusement park dedicated to Hello Kitty and all her friends.  This indoor park has themed rides, shows, games, and many Hello Kitty products.  Across from Puroland is a large shopping center, when you want a break.

After spending the day with Hello Kitty, we will check in to our next hotel closer to the House of Mouse.

June 24 (Sun) Day Eight Tokyo Disneyland

Tokyo Disneyland

Today you will visit Tokyo Disneyland.  You will have a chance to ride on familiar favorites like It’s a Small World, Jungle Boat Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Haunted House.  We will have a chance to enjoy Disney with a Japanese twist like its fun character popcorn buckets with the unusual popcorn flavors like shoyu, melon, and more.

June 25 (Mon) Day Nine Tokyo Disney Sea

Tokyo Disney Sea

We will spend the day at Tokyo Disney Sea.  This is Tokyo Disneyland’s sister park and instead of different lands to visit, it gives us seven ports of call.  Explore the Mediterranean Harbor, the Mysterious Island, the Mermaid Lagoon, the Arabian Coast, Lost River Delta, Port Discovery, and an American Waterfront.  Each port offers rides and shows for you to explore based on their specific themes.

June 26 (Tue)
Day Ten
Tokyo To Honolulu

On our last day, we will check out before going back to Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo Disney Sea to catch any favorite rides again or those rides we did not get a chance to ride earlier.  Later we will head to airport to catch our flight back to Hawaii.  Upon arrival in Honolulu, we will go through customs and immigrations.
